Sports Competitions

 

This  term we have taken part in six AVSSP competitions.  We took teams to Yr1/2, Yr3/4 and Yr5/6 athletics competitions at Belper Leisure Centre.  The children worked as a team to complete throwing, jumping and running events.  We even achieved a 'spirit of the games' award. 

 

Year 1/2 and Yr3/4 (two teams) competed against other schools at Handball.  This is a fast and competitive sport and our teams showed great energy and enthusiasm.  Year 5/6 showed passion and determination at the AVSSP basketball competition. 

 

Next term, the children will have the opportunity to take part in Futsal, dodgeball, gymnastics, tag rugby and cross country.
